Market Update

Morning All

Just a quick market update

Vegetables

Asparagus – Imported Asparagus has now finished yah, we will have Kimberley and E/states moving forward, quality will be a lot better.

Spring Onion – supply has improved and prices have eased.

Cauliflowers – very good supply and quality sensational, hit me up for some specials.

Tomatoes – We have some Hydro Carnarvon coming in, PLEASE DO NOT put in cool room, these ripen up beautifully at room temperature. Putting in the coolroom will stop ripening process and make them go yuck.

Iceberg Lettuce – Extremely short supply and prices up, cold weather is affecting growing, hearts are small sorry.

Capsicum – Glasshouse capsicums are coming to an end, we will start using Carnarvon sometime this week, which means prices will ease.

Burpless – we are doing our best to find good burpless, unfortunately our grower MF sold his property, not many good growers left 🙁

Garlic – unfortunately will be Mexican for the next few weeks until local new season starts.

Fruit

Grapes – We are expecting some USA white grapes Monday, buyer beware lol.

Oranges – We are now on to Late Lanes, fruit is solid.

Mandarins – We are now using Local Nectar seedless, these have been great.

Strawberries – Quality improved this week, cold weather causing some green shoulder but fruit tasting a lot better.

Pineapples – extremely short supply, some Queensland growers between patches, very little fruit coming over.
