Market Update

VEG NEWS

POTATOES MOVING FORWARD WILL BE AN ISSUE, IN THE NEXT LITTLE WHILE THERE WILL BE SHORTAGES ON MOST LINES. RED AND ROYAL BLUES IN THE EASTERN STATE CARTONS WILL BE OVER AS $60.00 A CTN PLUS. GOURMETS AND CHATS COULD POSSIABLY BE NOT AVAILABLE.ANY QUESTIONS CONTACT WES.

Asian Veg – supply has improved slightly so prices will ease next week.

Beans – we have some better Stringless coming in next week and prices should ease slightly.

Red Capsicum – have some good numbers coming in Monday, hit Wes up for s special if interested.

Burpless – not many growers growing anymore, we are using a grower who grows more medium size, but quality is a lot better than other growers.

Tomatoes – there is a lot of cheap Carnarvon fruit around, but not good enough to send Country, we are using a small shade house grower and fruit is very good.

Mushrooms – premium loose mushrooms prices went up $8/box this week, E/states very short.

Spring Onions – we have another grower picking over the weekend, so prices will ease slightly next week, hoping for a bit more size next week with finally some sun over the weekend.

 

 

FRUIT NEWS

Watermelon – Prices very high over $4.40/kg, Broome season started today, so as volume increased prices should hopefully easy next week.

Strawberries – have been great of late and prices pretty good, make the most of this.

Mandarins – we are still using WA Afourer, fruit may have some slight water damage, but overall, pretty good.

Oranges – local fruit on special this week so make the most of it.

Blueberries – some beautiful local fruit coming in, for good blues prices are till up there.

Mangoes – Aussie Mango season is only weeks away, stay tuned.
