Market Update

Morning All

Just a quick market update

Vegetables

With this cold snap, the supply of Asian Vege and Spring Onions has really slowed a lot. Price will be up slightly on all Asian Vege.

Savoy Cabbage has become very short in supply and may be NA. Price has increased sharply to over $7, if available.

Cauliflowers – very good supply and quality sensational, hit me up for some specials.

Tomatoes – Quality has been a lot better this week, but prices have firmed, E/states market very firm.

Garlic – some local garlic has started, I will stay with small/medium size to keep prices down.

Chestnuts – try some local Chestnuts.

Iceberg Lettuce – with the terrible wet and windy weather we have been receiving, some Iceberg haven’t been the best, sorry we are trying our best.

Fruit

Grapes – All grapes are now finished for the season.

Avocados ~ Local season has almost finish we will be moving into QLD/NSW fruit next week.

Oranges – local Moora Oranges are tasting sensation, fill those shelves.

Mandarins – Moora Imperials were very nice Thursday and will be available Monday 🙂

Strawberries – Quality improved this week, cold weather causing some green shoulder but fruit tasting a lot better.

Seedless Watermelon – is short and will be very expensive for the next 1-2 weeks, we have a mixture of Broome and NSW fruit.

Limes – are very short in supply and prices over $12/kg.

Pineapples – extremely short supply, some Queensland growers between patches, very little fruit coming over.

Stone fruit – USA Cherries/Peaches/Nectarines and plums have started, prices are expensive, full 9kg boxes only, no breakdown. We also have 250g PP cherries (10 punnet/tray)

Have a great weekend 🙂

Wes
